JOB DESCRIPTION:   

PDX Pharmaceuticals is a biopharmaceutical company leveraging novel nanotechnology and cancer systems biology to develop next-generation combination immunotherapies for cancer. We aspire to substantially improve healthcare using our nanotechnology platform. PDX Pharma is conducting preclinical and IND-enabling studies of its drug candidates, which are funded by the National Cancer Institute (NCI). We are aiming to start clinical trials by 2026. We are thus seeking a Biological Technician with a high degree of precision and care, who can not only carry out tasks effectively but also troubleshoot issues as they arise. Specifically, our Biological Technician will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and testing of novel cancer therapeutics by combining nanotechnology and cancer systems biology;
  • Possess a deep understanding of nanotechnology and its interactions with immune cells and other components within biological systems;
  • Set up, adjust, calibrate, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment;
  • Monitor laboratory work to ensure compliance with set standards;
  • Conduct various experiments, including batch experiments, molecular assays, cell culture, and animal (mouse) testing;
  • Monitor and observe experiments, recording findings and data for evaluation by research personnel;
  • Analyze experimental data and interpret results in an organized manner, and communicate insights through internal reports, presentations, and scientific publications;
  • Assist with coordinating GMP-compliant manufacturing of the drug candidate, IND-enabling studies, and interaction with the FDA and other CROs;
  • Assist with administrative operations, including placing orders for laboratory equipment and supplies; and
  • Utilize strong attention to detail, fast learning capabilities, advanced verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a strong work ethic to work both independently and as part of a team.

REQUIREMENTS:  Master’s degree in Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or other related field, and 6 months of experience working in a biological laboratory.
